MAGNIFICENT MEDIEVAL BASTIDE
The medieval Bastide of Mirepoix is surprising. These half-timbered houses, set on a wooden gallery, make for beautiful cutlery.
Built in the form of a bastide, the square is adorned with cafés, bars and small shops, and has a very special charm. It’s built with perpendicular and horizontal streets. Don’t forget to admire the fortifications as you pass through the Porte d’amont and Porte d’aval.
We love the wonderful colors of the Village’s half-timbered houses and its unmissable Monday morning market.
The grandiose Cathedral of St. Maurice boasts a unique nave and a stunning 60-metre-high spire, as well as a Gothic portal.
The campsite is close to Mirepoix (about 10 minutes), where you’ll find many shops, bakery/pastry shop, butcher’s, fishmonger’s…
