Tourism in Ariège

Our region is teeming with delightful sites for visitors in the mountains and countryside. it is a region filled with history, where you can see the remains of castles and prehistoric caves and where our ancestors left their traces.

Walks, hikes and other excursions are all on offer, unless you prefer to visit some of the little picturesque villages, many with a rich history.

The cabins of Camon, the Couverts (wooden houses) of Mirepoix, the generous dishes of Castelnaudary and El Pas de la Casa for a shopping expedition are all within easy reach.

Sometimes you don’t need to look far afield to get away from it all. Ariège has a rich history to share.
