At the foot of Domaine de la Besse, in the village of Camon, you can pick up the Voie verte des Pyrénées Cathares.
This former railroad line, now rehabilitated, is the perfect route for a family outing.
The 38 km route between Mirepoix and Lavelanet reveals the natural sides of the plant that are invisible from the departmental roads.
It’s a breath of fresh air, serene and soothing.
The route is dotted with the small villages of our region, so it’s easy to spot the château de Lagarde, the fortified village of Camon and the beautiful village of Chalabre….
